The pictures of the places you visited look so amazing! It does not even look like the United States...which shows how easternized my version of this country has become.
The piece of art sounds interesting.....intriguing...artistic. In answer to your question....owning it gives you the opportunity to see it everyday. On the other hand, you could give dear hubby a paint brush and canvas. Frame it...hang it...and, appreciate that everyday. :)
we are a small family (mama + papa + toddler) with small aspirations: to live a life unchained from sofas, cars, cubicles, upgrades, and televised reality.
we believe in voluntary simplicity, but we don't know how to cook tofu, we aren't buddhists, papa is addicted to his blackberry, nothing in our home is solar powered and we don't grow, knit or can anything. yet.
we are here just to write about our desires for simplicity, sanity and soulfulness.
